PSTI Holds The National Conference Preparation Coordination Meeting For Takraw 2025

JAKARTA The Executive Board of the Indonesian Takraw Association (PB PSTI) held a Coordination and Consultation Meeting (Rakonsul) for preparations for the Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) at the beginning of next month.

The coordination meeting took place at the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Building, Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday, October 25, 2025. A total of 37 provincial administrators (Pengrov) attended the activity.

PB PSTI Secretary General, Herman Andi, said that this meeting discussed the mechanism for screening and screening prospective general chairman candidates for the term of office for the 2025-2029 period.

"There are some that are discussed, and most importantly the criteria for the general chairman, then the requirements as regulated in the PSTI's articles of association and household budget (AD/ART)," said Herman in Jakarta.

In the registration process, Rakonsul was colored by a little of the noise because several provincial leaders such as Central Papua, Southwest Papua, South Papua, and North Maluku were not listed on the list of invitations made by caretakers.

Herman said that the committee's reason was because the recommendation files from the respective regional KONI had not yet been received by the caretaker. However, after going through the debate, they were allowed to enter.

"In fact, they have brought a decree (SK) issued by PSTI in 2023, which at that time PSTI was active under Asnawi Abdul Rahman's leadership, and there were also KONI recommendations," he said.

Several other important points that were also discussed in the Rakonsul, one of which was that prospective candidates had to contribute Rp. 500 million. This is also regulated in the PSTI AD/ART.

The funds will be used for the implementation of the National Conference/Munaslub with transparent responsibility. The remaining funds will be re-entered into PSTI's account as an endowment fund and not to be spent by the committee.

Herman said that the Rakonsul also discussed the rules for PSTI management who have voting rights in the Munaslub later. He said, of the total 37 Pengrovs, not all of them have the rights of all.

"If the management has run out, it has exceeded the six months after the end of the management period, it does not have voting rights so it cannot participate in choosing a candidate for chairman at the National Conference," he said.

Thejaringan and Screening Team (TPP) for prospective general chairmanial candidates will start working on 26-28 October 2025. During that period they will conduct socialization, provide registration form documents, and form candidates for general chairman.

All requirements for the prospective chairman must be handed back to the TPP on October 28. The Munaslub agenda is planned to be held on November 1, 2025 at the Central KONI Building, Jakarta.

Herman also denied reports that the PSTI Munaslub was held in Makassar on October 25. He confirmed that the news was fake news (hoax).

"After being traced and asked to the caretaker, it was a hoax. Caretaker replied that there had never been any socialization and or carried out the Munaslub which was held in Makassar," he said.

Herman Andi also emphasized that the 2024 PSTI National Conference (Munas) in Sukabumi had been legally implemented in accordance with the recommendations of the organization's Central KONI and Articles of Association/Household Budget (AD/ART).

"The PSTI Congress, which was held on December 28, 2024 in Sukabumi, was carried out based on the recommendations of the Central KONI. PSTI as the person in charge and executor has carried out the National Conference according to the AD/ART," he said.

In the National Conference, Asnawi Abdul Rahman was elected by acclamation as the General Chair of PSTI for the 2025'2029 period.

However, the post-Munas process became a polemic after the Central KONI had not issued a new management decree (SK) on the grounds that there was a request to cancel the results of the National Conference submitted by a number of Provincial Governments to the Indonesian Sports Arbitration Agency (BAKI).

The application submitted by 13 Pengprov is actually a formal defect. In the BAKI event law, the arbitration application must be accompanied by all relevant evidence. However, they did not attach complete evidence and those who signed most were not the chairman, but the secretary.

On that basis, Asnawi Abdul Rahman through his legal advisory team officially filed a lawsuit against the cancellation of the North Jakarta District Court against the decision of BAKI Number 2 dated 19 September 2025.

"In the lawsuit, we consider that there have been violations of the BAKI procedural law and Law Number 30 of 1999 concerning Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Settlement," said Herman.
