After Successful World Championships, FGI Is Ready To Host Another International Event!

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian Gamenastic Federation (FGI), Ita Juliati, expressed her readiness to accept the challenge of returning to host various international game events, after successfully holding the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships at the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta.

"I like the challenges because of it. The artistic dress is one of the main Olympic sports which is very complicated, but we managed to finish this event well. So if the challenge comes again, we are ready to accept it," said Ita after the closing ceremony, Saturday, October 25.

In the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, China came out as the overall champion with three gold, one silver and three bronze medals. Japan took second place with two gold, two silver, and one bronze, while the United States was in third place with two gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Ita revealed that the Chairperson of the Asian Gymnastic Union (AGU), A-Rahman Al-Shathri, has offered that Jakarta be the next host of the Asian Championships. The offer, according to him, is a form of international confidence in Indonesia's ability to organize world-class sporting events.

In the future, FGI will focus on coaching young athletes after Indonesian athletes fail to penetrate the all-around final round. One concrete step taken is to donate gymnastics equipment (appparatus) from the World Championships to training centers and provincial administrators.

"Alhamdulillah, we received equipment grants from the government. There are six sets, three of which will be placed in the Cibubur Youth Elite Center, while the other three sets will be loaned to provinces that have long-term training athletes," explained Ita.

He considered that the provision of this facility would be a great motivation for regional athletes to improve their abilities. "Although not all provinces get complete tools, at least they have a new spirit because they have new equipment," he said.

With the success of the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics World Championship, FGI is now solidifying its next target: strengthening national athlete coaching and bringing Indonesia to more achievements at the Asian and world levels.
