President Prabowo Flies To Malaysia! Ready To Bring Indonesia's Great Mission At The ASEAN 2025 Summit
President Prabowo Subianto officially left for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Friday afternoon, October 24, through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta, to attend the 47th ASEAN 2025 Summit.
President Prabowo's departure marks Indonesia's participation in an important forum that will bring together leaders of Southeast Asian countries to discuss regional and global strategic issues.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that in addition to attending the ASEAN Summit, the President also has a follow-up agenda at the APEC Summit which will be adjusted to the schedule for activities in Malaysia.
"This afternoon the President left for Kuala Lumpur to attend the ASEAN Summit. Then there is an agenda for the APEC Summit, but it will probably adjust to the agenda in Malaysia," said Prasetyo.

He hopes that the President's journey will run smoothly and bring tangible results and benefits to the Indonesian nation.
The 47th ASEAN Summit is scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 October 2025. This forum will discuss a number of important topics such as strengthening regional economic cooperation, transitioning clean energy, and developing the digital economy in the region.
Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono said President Prabowo's presence was a major mission to strengthen ASEAN's relevance and solidity in the midst of global dynamics.
"Yes, how to strengthen ASEAN's relevance. Especially ASEAN's relevance in the midst of a situation like this," he said.
One of the interesting issues that will be discussed is the potential utilization of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes within the framework of an integrated ASEAN power grid. In addition, this year's summit will also record a historic moment with the inauguration of Timor Leste as a full member of ASEAN.
Global issues such as the situation in the Gaza Strip are also discussed, where ASEAN countries are expected to formulate a common stance to promote world peace.
After attending the ASEAN Summit, President Prabowo is scheduled to continue his working visit to South Korea to attend the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum with the theme Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Connect, Innovate, Prosper
The main APEC Economic Leaders Week (AELW) agenda will be held from October 30 to November 1, 2025 in various cities such as Gyeongju, Jeju, Incheon, and Busan, covering ministerial-level meetings to heads of state.
