JAKARTA DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized his commitment to expand the use of digital transactions based on the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) in all traditional markets in Jakarta. This step was taken to make it easier for the public to transact while increasing regional economic security and efficiency.
"We have made digital transaction competitions in 12 markets in Jakarta, so that the use of digital transactions increases," Pramono said in Jakarta, Saturday, October 25. He explained that the competition was part of the provincial government's initiative to encourage banks to provide digital financial education to traders and buyers in the market.
According to Pramono, the educational activities also involve Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). As a result, digital transactions in Jakarta markets show significant growth. Digital transactions are growing in Jakarta," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Ricky Perdana Gozali believes that the future of the DKI Jakarta economy will be supported by the service, creative economy and digital sectors. Ricky said, Jakarta is now not only the center of Indonesia's economy and finance, but also the heart of the economy based on innovation and creativity. He emphasized that JEF 2025 is a tangible manifestation of the collaboration of various parties in encouraging regional economic growth through creativity and community participation.
BI data shows that in the second quarter of 2025, Jakarta's economy grew by 5.18 percent higher than the national average. Inflation was also maintained stable at the level of 2.4 percent (year-on-year), below the national inflation rate. In addition, digital transaction growth in Jakarta jumped to 183 percent, reaching 2.24 billion transactions.
