JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto hosted Brazilian President Luiz In Maritime Affairso Lula da Silva and Rosangela's (Janja) wife Lula da Silva on state nights and appreciated Lula for always defending the poor.
Before eating the night, President Prabowo welcomed Presidents Lula and Janja in the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace.
Big smile, shaking hands to tight hugs started the night describing the spirit of cooperation between the two major countries.
"You always defend the poor. You always defend the weak. myself, my colleagues, my party, and my coalition are also committed to always defending the poor, defending the people, and defending those who are oppressed. Therefore, we are very close to our hearts," said President Prabowo in his remarks at the state banquet on Thursday (23/10) evening reported by ANTARA.
President Prabowo revealed that fate brought together the two leaders of the country who had the same vision.
Prabowo is also joking about Lula who has the same lucky numbers as him.
"God has predicted us to meet. Especially I know today your lucky numbers are eight, my lucky numbers are also eight," said President Prabowo.
President Lula seemed to enjoy the familiar atmosphere. In his remarks, President Lula expressed his gratitude for the sincere remarks given by President Prabowo and the Indonesian people.

During the dinner, President Prabowo and President Lula also celebrated their birthday together at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta.
"Today, I feel happy to be by his side, at the age of 74 and 80. Just like the two of us, the friendly and mutual trust relationship between our two countries has never been more lively. Even though we have geographical distance, Brazil and Indonesia have many things in common," said President Lula.
The atmosphere of the birthday celebration with the two presidents was lively. The two of them stood side by side in front of a birthday cake with a chocolate taste.
With the accompaniment of the song "Happy Birthday", Prabowo and Lula blew the wax on the cake. In that moment, Lula extinguished the candles by blowing, while Prabowo chose to shake his hands at the candles.
After that, President Lula cut the birthday cake. Meanwhile, President Prabowo along with a number of ministers who attended were seen singing "Mottle Cake".
Lula delivered the birthday celebration ceremony full of affection and full of symbolic meaning because it coincided with her 80th birthday on October 27 and Prabowo's 74th birthday on October 17.
