Jeep Recall More Than 20 Thousand PHEV 4xe Wrangler Units, Here's The Problem
JAKARTA - Jeep had to recall 24,238 units of Wrangler 4xe PHEV following a failed over the air update, which could have an impact on the loss of propulsion.
Quoting from the Carscoops page, Friday, October 24, there are many complaints from users regarding the problems above, there are even vehicles that suddenly break down.
According to existing reports, the software update can cause an error between the module and Hybrid Control Processor. This can result in the latter rearranging, losing power while the vehicle is running.
The United States Highway Traffic Safety Agency (NHTSA) contacted the automaker after receiving more than 200 complaints and finding similar problems reported online.

This problem is so widespread that Transport Canada Affects also contacted Jeep on October 14. There were a total of seven reports and saw the issues mentioned in the forum.
The company immediately began investigating the matter and found 111 customer assistance records, 69 field reports, and 55 other potentially related incidents with the issue between October 10 and October 14.
Responding to this, the solution is still in the development stage and has taken temporary corrective action, to avoid loss of driving force.
