Xiaomi Boss's Perverted Jokes When Promoting Mi 10 Youth
JAKARTA - Vice President of Xiaomi Chang Cheng made a dirty joke in the style of uncle while promoting his latest Mi 10 Youth device. Because even though it's just a joke, it is considered to have insulted women.
Quoting the South China Morning Post page, Cheng's nasty jokes were uploaded to his Chinese social media account, Wiebo. At that time he praised the camera capabilities of Mi 10 Youth and described her as a very charming woman.
"Behind a beautiful woman always has an empty room in her dormitory," Cheng wrote about that, Tuesday, April 28.
Unfortunately Cheng's upload was deemed inappropriate and seemed vulgar. As a result, the upload was flooded with negative comments from netizens.
Most of them criticized Cheng's perverted jokes for lack of respect for women. The hashtag #vulgar was juxtaposed with the name of the Xiaomi executive and it became a trending topic of conversation on the Weibo application.
"Please don't disgust women when they see men using Xiaomi," commented the netizen.
Shortly thereafter, Cheng's post was deleted and accompanied by an apology for his upload. As a token of his apology, Cheng also contributed personal funds to a charity and education organization of around US $ 14,100.
"I am completely wrong and I take all criticism," Cheng told followers on Weibo.

The official Xiaomi account on Weibo also apologized. They promised to prevent the same thing from happening again.
Prior to joining Xiaomi, Cheng had worked for Lenovo. Now he is incessantly promoting the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth 5G edition which is a rejuvenation of the Mi 10 Lite and will be launched in China in the near future.
In fact, it's not just Cheng, an executive from a technology company who has problems with grammar for women. Former head of development for Baidu, Li Chao, once made an obscene comment to one of his female employees during a presentation at a technology conference.
