Going For The Old City Planning Of Medan, Bobby Nasution With The Director General Of Human Settlements Of PUPR Review Kesawan

MEDAN - The Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution together with the Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR, Diana Kusumastuti, visited the old town of Kesawan.

This review is to discuss the plan for structuring the old town of Kesawani. Before conducting the survey, the Mayor of Medan, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Medan, Aulia Rachman, first saw the arrangement of the old city of Medan at Tjong A Fie Mansion. The Mayor of Medan and the Director General of Human Settlements also had discussions to discuss the structuring plan.

After the discussion, the Mayor of Medan together with the Director General of Human Settlements and other entourage walked along the old town of Kesawan, starting from Jalan Jend Ahmad Yani to Jalan Commerce.

Bobby Nasution and the Director General of Human Settlements also saw the historical Warenhuis building, which is the first supermarket building in Medan.

After conducting the review, Bobby Nasution said the Medan Government and the Director General of Human Settlements of the PUPR Ministry wanted to improve the old town area of Kesawan to make it even better.

"Today we are collaborating with the Director General of Human Settlements at the Ministry of PUPR to see first hand the plan for structuring the old town of Kesawan so that it can be better organized," he said as quoted from the statement from the Medan Communication and Information Agency, Wednesday, May 19.

Meanwhile, Director General of Human Settlements of the Ministry of PUPR, Diana Kusumastuti, explained that the plan for structuring the old town of Kesawan had been planned since 2017. Today the plan will be continued.

"Hopefully we can reorganize the city of Medan to be better and more attractive," said Diana.

Diana also revealed that the plan for the old town of Kesawan will be like the old city in Semarang.

"In the past, the old city of Semarang was dead, but we will make it come back to life, while in Kesawan it is still alive, it only needs a little repair and arrangement to make it more attractive," he said.
