After Shopping, 12 TNI Members Attacked By KKB Suspected By The Lamek Taplo Group: 4 Personnel Shot In The Leg

PAPUA - The Papua Armed Criminal Group (KKB) stirred up by attacking 12 members of the TNI.

The incident took place when TNI personnel were crossing wooden bridge 2, Yapimakot Village, Serambakon District, Bintang Mountains Regency, Tuesday, May 18 evening.

Commander of Korem 172 / Praja Wira Yakhti, Brig. Gen. Izak Pangemanan, stated that the KKB attack was allegedly carried out by the group led by Lamek Taplo.

TNI personnel are members of the Task Force for Security of Prone Areas for Infantry Battalion 403 / WP and Mobile Task Force for Infantry Battalion 310 / KK.

"The perpetrator of the attack is suspected of being the Lamek Taplo group, which was carried out when the vehicle was boarded by members of the Security Task Force for Vulnerable Areas from Infantry Battalion 403 / WP and Mobile Task Force Infantry Battalion 310 / KK," said Danrem Izak Pangemanan, in Jayapura, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 19.

The case began when the group of 12 using a four-wheeled vehicle was about to return to Serambakon after shopping at Oksibil.

While in the vicinity of the wooden bridge, the engine suddenly died so that the members got off and saw the condition of the car. But suddenly he was shot, so there was a shooting contact.

The four injured members were Serka Dian Hardiana and Praka Kuku Ismail from Infantry Battalion 310 / KK, Serda Sukrisdianto Yonif and Pratu Romi from Yonif 403 / WP. They were shot in the leg.

"The victims have now been evacuated and being treated at RST Marthen Indey, Jayapura," said Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan.
