Plaosan Lor Temple Budgeted, Harmonious Symbols And The Existence Of The Archipelago
KLATEN - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon emphasized that the Plaosan Lor Temple is a symbol of harmony and the great civilization of the archipelago which was born from dialogue and tolerance. He conveyed this when inaugurating the plenary regulation of the Deret II Perwara Temple No. 19 in the Plaosan Lor area, Klaten, Central Java, Thursday, October 23.
Plaosan Temple is not just an archaeological relic, but a manifestation of ancestral wisdom that teaches us about diversity. In this place Hinduism and Buddhism do not eliminate each other, but strengthen each other," said Fadli. According to him, Plaosan is proof that Indonesian civilization was born from synergy, not conflict.
Fadli emphasized that this restoration is not only technical work, but also the implementation of the mandate of Article 32 of the 1945 Constitution concerning the obligations of the state to advance national culture. He described Plaosan as a complete cultural landscape, in which humans, nature, and spirituality live in balance. Our ancestors already understood sustainability before the world knew him," he said.
Since the reign of the Dutch East Indies in 1940 to post-indonesia independence, various efforts have been made to restore and preserve the Plaosan Temple Site. The government through the Region X Cultural Preservation Center (BPK) has consistently continued restoration activities by adhering to conservation principles, such as the authenticity of materials, shapes, layouts, and work techniques.
