Here's How To Find Out Where To Save Screenshots In Windows 10 And 11
JAKARTA Some Windows users may still not know where their screenshot or screenshot will be saved. The reason is, each way will put it differently.
There are several ways to do screenshots in Windows. The first way is to press the Print Screen (PrtScn) button. By default, this screenshot is not directly saved as a file.
When the Print Screen button is pressed, the screenshot is only copied to the clipboard, a temporary memory used to copy and paste. If you want to be used as a screenshot, users must take some additional steps.
This image must be attached to the image editor first, such as the Windows built-in Paint program. After being attached to the editor, the image previously copied can be saved.
Next, the user will be asked to select the desired storage location as an image file. The same rule also applies when the user uses the Alt + Print Screen button combination to save the image.
The next way Windows users usually use is to capture screens using Snipping Tools. This feature can be used in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Screenshots taken with this tool by default will be saved on C:\Users[User Name]\Pictures\Screenshots. Interestingly, Snipping Tool also stores screenshots to the clipboard, similar to the old Print Screen method.
If you edit screenshots on Snipping Tools, you can save them in any location you choose. If you forgot your last place of storage, take another screenshot and try saving it.
Snipping Tool will remember your last storage location and your old screenshot may be stored there. You can also check the Document or Image folder below 'This PC' in File Explorer.
