MRT Operates Starting At 3 AM When Jakarta Running Festival
JAKARTA - PT MRT Jakarta changed its train operating hours during the Jakarta Running Festival 2025 which took place on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26. For 2 days on the weekend, MRT began operating at 03.00 WIB.
More specifically, on Saturdays and Sundays, MRT Jakarta at 03.00-04.25 WIB operates with a headway every 20 minutes, 04.25-05.10 WIB has a headway of 15 minutes, and 04.25-24.00 WIB has a headway of 10 minutes.
President Director of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), Tuhiyat said, the use of MRT Jakarta in this event is also part of efforts to reduce congestion and reduce carbon emissions in the city center.
"We want participants to enjoy practical travel as well as contribute to reducing pollution. This support is in line with the vision of MRT Jakarta in supporting the development of Jakarta towards a global city that is oriented towards sustainability," said Tuhiyat in his statement, Thursday, October 23.
MRT Jakarta also held "Free MRT Rides" and Special Lane Runners programs for the 2025 wondr Jakarta Running Festival participants.
Through this program, registered participants can enjoy four free MRT trips, which can be used twice on 23 or 24 October 2025 and two other times on 25 or 26 October 2025, with trips to and from Istora Senayan Station.

Participants simply show and scan the QR Code on the official email and BIB on the special MRT Jakarta route. This program is valid from 23 to 26 October 2025, including trips to and from Race Expo and Race Central, and only applies to routes to and from Istora Station according to the schedule of each runner's category.
In addition, MRT Jakarta also opened Runners' Special Lane at several stations as a priority route for JRF 2025 participants. This facility operates at 11.00-19.00 WIB (23-24 October) and at 03.00-19.00 WIB (25-26 October) to support the race pack collection process until the race day.
