Hwang Minhyun Gets Study Group 2 Offers, Joins Military Expenditures

JAKARTA - Hwang Minhyun reportedly received an offer to return to the drama Study Group 2. This news circulated in his military service.

Thursday, October 23, insider from industry stated, "The popular original Study Group series will return with a second season. After leaving the military, Hwang Minhyun will start filming in the first half of this year."

On the same day, PLEDIS Entertainment as Hwang Minhyun's agency responded that this was still being considered.

The Study Group series, which aired in the first season at the beginning of this year, received positive responses locally and internationally. The series is adapted from the webtoon of the same name which has also become popular.

Study Group tells of Yoon Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of achieving academic achievements but only has the ability to fight. He formed a study group to enter and undergo school exams.

In May this year, the production house Studio Dragon confirmed that the Study Group series is entering the discussion stage for the second season.

Hwang Minhyun has been serving in the military since March 21, 2024, as an active soldier. The Study Group series airs in the middle of the training process.

Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun is scheduled to complete his military service on December 20.
