State Presents In The Middle Of Grief, Minister Of Social Affairs Risma Brings Compensation Of IDR 267 Million To Tapsel
JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini handed over aid to the families of landslide victims in Batang Toru, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, with a total value of more than Rp267 million.
The aid was handed over by Risma to the families of the victims through the Regent of South Tapanuli Dolly P. Pasaribu in the Office Hall of the District Head of Marancar District, Wednesday, May 18.
The Minister of Social Affairs who was present accompanied by the Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims (PSKBA) M. Syafii Nasution explained that each victim was provided for Rp. 15 million.
"This compensation indicates that the state is present in the midst of the grief of its people. Hopefully this assistance will be useful and ease the problems of the families left behind," said Syadi.
Risma also advised the victims' families to be sincere and patient in accepting the landslide that occurred in Wek I, Batang Toru District on April 29, 2021.
The solidarity and synergy between the Forkopimda Tapsel, including handling the evacuation of victims during a landslide disaster with existing local wisdom, also received positive appreciation from the Minister of Social Affairs.
Previously, the Regent of South Tapanuli Dolly P. Pasaribu said that his party expressed his gratitude for the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs in the event of giving compensation which strictly followed the health protocol.
"The presence of Minister Risma, especially earlier, had a chance to talk about his experiences at the pick-up at FL Tobing Airport, Sibolga, giving support to further our enthusiasm for building Tapsel to make it even better," he said.
