Friendship Of 2 Presidents October: Prabowo Invites Lula Da Silva To Celebrate Tonight's Birthday

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto invited Brazilian President Luiz In laycio Lula da Silva to celebrate his birthday tonight, because both of them were born in October.

"So actually we will celebrate our birthday together tonight. If it is permitted by the First Lady of Brazil, we will celebrate tonight," Prabowo said in a joint statement with President Lula at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, November 23.

Prabowo said he and Lula had a number of similarities, including the same birth month. Prabowo was born on October 17, while Lula had a birthday on October 27.

The two agreed to meet between the two dates and hold a birthday celebration tonight in Jakarta.

"It turns out that there are many similarities. Maybe we are destined to work together now, together to defend, advance our people," said Prabowo.

On that occasion, Prabowo also expressed his admiration for Lula's experience, who is now the third time as President of Brazil.

Meanwhile, President Lula expressed his gratitude for the invitation to celebrate the birthday and confirmed that he would attend.

"Thank you for your invitation. I will be here tonight to celebrate your birthday. Are you 74 years old? Great. I am 80 years old, so I am old enough to be your father," said Lula with a smile.

Lula also gave a gift in the form of jersey number 8 to Prabowo. He said the number was the number he used when he was still playing football.

"My position is in the right wing and I'm wearing number 8. That's my lucky number, and I know it's also your lucky number. So, rest assured we are both lucky Presidents," said Lula.
