The success that catapulted Ejae's name could not be separated from his vital role in the "KPop Demon Hunters" project. He is not only one of the songwriters on the film's soundtrack album, but also fills the singing voice for the main character, Rumi. His involvement is crucial, both in the musical process and in the development of the entire film.
EKE's contribution was felt in the record-breaking soundtrack. In addition to performing the hit song "Golden", he also wrote other songs such as "How It's Done", "What It Sounds Like", "Your Idol" sung by rival groups in the film, Saja Boys" as well as the background song "Hunter "stras" which is a very important musical common thread in the film.
The extraordinary achievement of the soundtrack "KPop Demon Hunters" made a new history on the Billboard. The album is the first in Billboard history to successfully place four songs at once on the Top 10 charts.
The song 'Golden' was unstoppable, occupying the top position of Hot 100 for five consecutive weeks, making it the longest number one song performed by an animated character in the history of Billboard Hot 100.
The other three songs that also enliven the Top 10 are Your Idol and Pop Mode from Just Boys, plus Huntr/x's "How It's Done" song.
In an interview with Variety about his job in the film, Ejae said the main capital he brought was his bilingual ability.

"One of the biggest assets I bring to this film, or when writing songs, is my bilingual ability. I see myself as a songwriter," said the 33-year-old woman.
For me, I never had the goal of becoming a pop star. I was more motivated by the melody [(natural writing), and I like to see the works of songwriters who inspire me and try to put it into my work," he added.
Ejae's work in the music industry also received widespread recognition. He was recently named one of 10 Artists to Watch in the songwriting category by Variety magazine and is scheduled to receive the award at the SCAD Film Festival next week.
The achievement of the song "Golden" did not stop on the charts. The song won the Best Original Soundtrack award at this year's K-World Dream Awards and was nominated as Song of the Summer at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Previously in 2022, Ejae was also nominated for the Best Original Song in a Video Game category at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards for the song Rebirth which is part of the game League of Legends.
As a songwriter, Ejae has an impressive portfolio, which includes writing, vocal briefing, and background vocal contributions to some of the world's leading K-pop groups. The credit includes major hits such as Aespa's Drama and Armageddon, Red Velvet's Psycho, as well as songs involving other top artists such as Le Sserafim, Twice, Taeyeon, Nmixx, and Fifty Fifty.
Looking at the future, EKE expressed his hope to continue working on film music. I want one day to work on projects such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse or make soundtracks for the James Bond film, he concluded.
