Indonesia Is Not Just A Diplomatic Partner, South African President: Solidarity To The People Of South Africa

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto received South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday, October 22.

After following the welcoming process, President Ramaphosa appreciated Indonesia's support for the South African nation's struggle against the apartheid system.

President Ramaphosa emphasized that relations between Indonesia and South Africa have been closely established since the era of the independence struggle on the African continent.

According to him, Indonesia is not only a diplomatic partner, but also a true ally who consistently shows solidarity with the people of South Africa during the most difficult times.

Ramaphosa also congratulated Indonesia on the 70th anniversary of the Asia-Africa Conference which was held for the first time in Bandung in 1955. According to him, the conference is an important milestone in the history of Asian and African nations to strengthen South-South cooperation as well as inspire national liberation movements in various African countries.
