Unlike Demul, Pramono Says Thank You Purbaya Sentil Funds In The Region
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadives for flicking the local government about the findings of the funds deposited and not absorbed.
"I agree 1,000 percent with what the Minister of Finance said, that in Jakarta there are 14.6 trillion. I am among those who thank and agree with the Minister of Finance," Pramono said when met at the BPKP Office, East Jakarta, Wednesday, October 22.
Pramono's response is different from West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi (Demul) who denied that the West Java Provincial Government kept funds in the form of deposits or deliberately deposited regional money.
Dedi challenged Purbaya to transparently disclose data related to areas that store large funds in banks and in what form. Dedi also said that the figure disclosed by Purbaya amounted to Rp. 4.1 trillion did not match the figure owned by the West Java Provincial Government, which was around Rp. 2.6 trillion.
Terkait hal ini, Pramono mengaku memang ada dana penyimpan senilai Rp14,6 triliun di bank pembangunan daerah (BPD) Bank Jakarta.
The DKI Provincial Government, he continued, has not fully absorbed the regional budget in this year's APBD. Usually, regional work units (SKPD) disburse the remaining budget at the end of the year.
"Indeed, always in Jakarta, the payment is for all processes of procurement of services and goods as well as physical, the payment is always in November and in December," said Pramono.
"In 2023, (the funds were deposited) at that time of Rp. 16 trillion. In 2024, Rp. 18 trillion. Why then is there funds that we currently save 14.6 trillion? To complete payments in November and December," he continued.

Previously, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive revealed that the absorption of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) until the third quarter of 2025 was still slow. In fact, the central government has channeled funds to the regions in a timely and fast manner.
He explained that the delay in spending caused the accumulation of regional funds in banks and currently, it is recorded that funds that have not been utilized by the Regional Government (Pemda) reach Rp234 trillion are still stored in banks.
"The low absorption has resulted in adding additional deposits of local government money that are unemployed in banks of up to Rp. 234 trillion. So it is clear, this is not about the money not having any, but about the speed of execution," he said in an inflation control meeting in 2025, Monday, October 20.
Purbaya reminded regional apparatus organizations (OPD) and budget managers in the regions to be wiser in managing finances.
In addition, he emphasized the importance of limiting the storage of funds and accelerating their use, especially for productive spending.
Purbaya also encouraged local governments not to delay spending until the end of the year and emphasized the importance of maintaining financial governance and integrity in budget implementation, considering this has a direct impact on the level of investor and community trust.
