Defense Minister Opens Discourse To Meet PDIP Leader, Hasto: We Will Also Proactively Give Input

The Secretary General of the PDI-P welcomed the discourse of the Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, who will meet his party leadership.

It is known that recently the Minister of Defense has often met with political party leaders such as the Head of NasDem Surya Paloh and PKS President Al Muzzammil Yusuf.

Hasto said that if PDIP was asked to provide input related to national defense, his party would be ready. Moreover, the defense is relevant to the thinking of the first President, Soekarno.

"Yes, in the PDI-P's concept and ideas about defense, it is based on Soekarno's geopolitical thinking, and I have formulated what Mrs. Megawati said in the dissertation at the Defense University, in Soekarno's geopolitical thinking," said Hasto, Wednesday, October 22.

"And its relevance to national defense, so if we are asked to provide input, we will also be proactive, to provide input on the concept of defense, yes, by means of geopolitical views," he continued.

Previously, Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin met with the General Chair of the NasDem Party at the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan), Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 15.

An interesting thing happened when Defense Minister Sjafrie was asked about the invitation of PDIP Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri.

In a relaxed and joking atmosphere, Sjafrie said that if he accepted the invitation, it would definitely be scolded by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.
