New Electricity Installation Program Jangkau 135,482 Households Until September 2025
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reports that the Village Electricity Program (Lisdes) and Electricity New Installation Assistance (BPBL) for the January-September 2025 period have been enjoyed by 135,482 RTs. The 2025 BPBL target is set at 215,000 RT by the end of the year.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia said that almost all villagers in various remote parts of the country have now enjoyed the presence of electricity. According to him, the government is expanding access to energy for all people, especially those living in remote areas, through the Lisdes and BPBL programs.
"In remote villages, electric light is now a symbol of the state's presence and a way for socio-economic opportunities. Electricity is no longer just an aspect of lighting, but also increases access to education, productivity, and people's lives," said Bahlil, Wednesday, October 22.
He further added that currently the Village Electricity Program is expanding its reach to 10,068 locations, approaching more than 1.2 million new potential customers. Meanwhile, the realization of the 2024 New Electricity Installation Assistance (BPBL) has been received by 155,429 households

"Through this program, the Government is committed to meeting the basic needs of the community, as well as accelerating energy equality, as part of national justice and independence," he said.
Bahlil added that the current national electrification ratio has reached 99.1 percent. The rest is the most difficult to reach because their households are scattered on various outer and remote islands.
"The government has inaugurated dozens of renewable energy plants, accelerated the PLTS project with a capacity of 100 gigawatts, and involved village cooperatives in the energy transition. Economics and ecology do not have to be contested. Both work together to create sustainable, inclusive, and equitable development foundations," said Bahlil.
