Prince Harry And Meghan Participate In Calling For The Prohibition Of Superintelligent AI Development
JAKARTA - The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, joined the pioneers of artificial intelligence (AI) in calling for a ban on the development of the AI superintelligent system.
The two are part of hundreds of signings of a global statement demanding a ban on the development of super intelligence, along with Geoffrey Hinton and Yoshua Bengio, two AI pioneers nicknamed modern AI man.
In addition, there were also Nobe 'Beatrice Fihn, Frank Wilczek, John C. Mather, and Daron AcemoENTulu, as well as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, British businessman Richard Branson, former US national security adviser Susan Rice, and many more.
In an open letter compiled by the Future of Life Institute (FLI), the figures called for a ban to be enforced until there is a broad scientific consensus on how to safely and controllably develop Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), as well as after obtaining strong public support.

Launching The Guardian, the FLI had previously called for a temporary suspension of the development of an advanced AI system in 2023, shortly after the appearance of the ChatGPT which made AI a public and political topic of discussion around the world.
A number of experts assess that discussions about breast milk reflect more on the competition among tech giants that poured hundreds of billions of dollars into AI investments, compared to real technical jumps.
The FLI also warns that the possibility of achieving breast milk in the coming decade could pose a serious risk from takeover of human jobs to threats to national security and the survival of mankind.
