22,750 Companies Register For Mutual Cooperation Vaccines, Vaccination Target Of 10 Million Workers Increasingly Realistic
JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto welcomed the initial implementation of the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination by entrepreneurs for their employees.
According to Airlangga, this step can further suppress active cases of COVID-19, especially those that occur in the business world.
“The enthusiasm from companies that want their employees to be vaccinated immediately is huge. This will encourage even faster national economic recovery, ”he said as quoted by the official website on Wednesday, May 19.
Airlangga added, a positive signal for the success of the Mutual Cooperation Vaccine has been seen from the number of companies that have registered to take part in this program.
"Based on data from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), around 22,750 companies have registered the Mutual Cooperation Vaccine with 10 million participants. This initiative will also accelerate the achievement of herd immunity, "he said.
He further explained that the price of the Mutual Cooperation Vaccine was set at IDR 321,660, with a maximum tariff for vaccination services of IDR 117,910 based on KMK No. HK.01.07 / Menkes / 4643/2021 concerning Determination of the Purchase Price of Sinopharm Vaccines. Thus, the maximum total cost for two vaccinations (purchase price and vaccination service) is IDR 879,140 per person.
For information, the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination registration mechanism is under the control of the Ministry of Health and is implemented by Kadin and Bio Farma.
"The government has also collaborated with several health facilities in various regions, both in collaboration with corporations and private hospitals," he said.
To note, until now the government has committed to procure a number of COVID-19 vaccines, including Sinovac (until November 2021) totaling approximately 147 million, Novavax (second semester) around 50 million, then Covax Gavi (multilateral system, until December 2021) of 54 million, AstraZeneca (until December 2021) is targeted to be 20 million.
"Pfizer is also planned to hold 50 million in the second semester. There are also additional bilateral vaccines from Covax Gavi of 60 million, and the Mutual Cooperation (Sinopharm) Vaccine is planned for 15 million, "said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.
In the early stages of implementing the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination covering Jabodetabek for around 220,000 people from various industrial sectors. The total Sinopharm vaccine that has arrived in Indonesia is 500,000 thousand doses with a commitment of 7.5 million doses and the potential for a total of 15 million doses.
