Police Block Access Out Of Siak Buru Napi Dead Sentence Who Escaped From Detention Center
SIAK Riau Anti-Gang Team and Anarchism (RAGA) of the Siak Resort Police (Polres) together with local sector police officers blocked all outside the jurisdiction of the Siak Police to hunt down one convict who escaped from the Class II B Detention Center (Rutan) Siak Sri Indrapura.
The head of the Siak Police, Kompol James Sibarani, said that a total of 55 joint personnel were deployed in this pursuit operation, consisting of 35 members of the Siak Police and 20 members of the Siak Police RAGA Team.
"We continue to carry out intensive sweeps, including air monitoring using drones. We have blocked all out-of-region access. We also urge the public to remain vigilant and report immediately if they know of the prisoner's whereabouts," said James in Siak, Antara, Wednesday, October 22.
The search operation was carried out thoroughly using two- and four-wheel service vehicles. In addition, the Siak Police's thermal camera technology drone was also deployed to monitor movement in forest areas and vulnerable points.
James explained that the sweeping was carried out on Jalan Lintas Dayun Buton Kilometer 14 Paluh Village, Mempura District, then in the Siak City Forest, Jalan Raja Kecik, Jalan Sultan Syarif Ali, and the sampangan crossing piers in the jurisdiction of the Siak Police.
The police also checked empty houses that could potentially be hiding places, raided vehicles, and inspected ports. In addition, the authorities coordinated with residents to immediately report if they saw people with suspicious movements.

Until now, the police are still hunting for a prisoner named Epi Saputra, a death row convict who escaped from the Class II B Siak detention center on Sunday morning (19/10).
"We will not stop until these escaped prisoners are found. This is a form of our dedication to ensure security and order are maintained in the Siak area," said Kompol James.
