Seven Sports Branches Of The Kudus Self-Defense PON 2025 Completed
JAKARTA A total of seven sports (sports) at the PON Martial Arts 2025 have been completed. The seven sports will be held in two stages.
The implementation of the first phase will be held on 12-16 October 2025 by competing in four sports, namely wrestling, judo, fighting degrees, and taekwondo. Then the second stage will be held on 17-21 October 2025 by competing in three sports, namely pencak silat, sambo, and shorinji kempo.
Chairman of the Central KONI, Marciano Norman, appreciated the implementation of this event when he visited the Djarum Arena, Kaliputu, Kudus, Central Java, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
He said the entire series of matches to date have gone smoothly thanks to the great support and enthusiasm of the entire people of Kudus.

"The support of the Kudus community is extraordinary. We can see since the opening ceremony, there is a carnival towards the Kudus City square which is directly led by the Regent. The response from all the people of Kudus is extraordinary," he said.
The inaugural implementation of this event in Kudus is expected to be an important momentum to continue to strengthen the collaboration between KONI and the private sector in the development of the achievements of national martial arts athletes.
Marciano said that the collaboration with the Djarum Foundation Sports Service became a strong foundation behind the successful implementation of the first edition of the Kudus Self-Defense PON.
"God willing, we will hold the Self-Defense PON every two years and it is a collaboration with the Djarum Foundation," he said.
The remaining three sports that have not been held are ju-jitsu, karate, and wushu. The three sports matches will be held on 23-26 October 2025.
Pencak silat's sport entered the top party by competing in 15 matches from various classes on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. In the final standings of the medal, Central Java sat in the top position with seven medals, consisting of six gold and one bronze.
The second place is DKI Jakarta with eight medals (three gold, two silver, and three bronze), then Lampung completes the top three with five medals (two gold, two silver, and one bronze).
Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta came out as the overall champion of the shorinji kempo sport with 11 medals (seven gold, two silver, two bronze).
West Java followed in second place with five medals (three gold and two silver), followed by Maluku in third place with four medals (three gold and one bronze).
Then East Nusa Tenggara took fourth place with 12 medals (two gold, three silver, and seven bronze). Following East Kalimantan completes the top five through a collection of 10 medals (two gold, three silver, five bronze).
From the sport of sambo, Central Java also managed to show their dominance with five gold, four silver, and seven bronze medals.
The second place in this sport is occupied by East Kalimantan (four gold, three silver, and seven bronze), then DKI Jakarta in third place (four gold, one silver, and three bronze).
