Former Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Sentenced To 19 Years In Prison For Child Sexual Violence

KUPANG - The Panel of Judges at the Class IA Kupang District Court (PN), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), sentenced the former Ngada Police Chief AKBP Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja to a case of sexual violence against three minors or pedophilias

"Imposing a sentence to the defendant for 19 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 6 billion. If the fine is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for 1 year and 4 months," said Chief Judge Agung Gde Agung Partata when reading the verdict at the Kupang District Court, Tuesday, October 21, as reported by ANTARA.

The verdict was read out in court with the agenda of reading the verdict in the Cakra room of the Kupang District Court. The trial with a decision agenda takes place openly.

In addition to imprisonment and fines, the panel of judges also required Fajar to pay restitution of more than Rp359 million to three victims of minors who were victims of sexual violence.

In his decision, the judge stated that Fajar's actions were proven to fulfill the elements regulated in Article 81 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code and Article 45 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 27 Paragraph (1) of the ITE Law in conjunction with Article 64 of the Criminal Code.

Member judge Naomi Nenohayfeto in the trial stated that the former Ngada Police Chief was known to have a hobby of watching blue films since 2010.

The videos or blue films that are watched are about adult blue films and films featuring minors.

"As a result of this habit, the defendant committed sexual violence against minors from 2024 to 2025," he said.

Apart from Fajar, the panel of judges also sentenced a student named Stefani Rihi to 11 years in prison for the supplier of three underwater children to AKBP Fajar.
