National Police: Members Of The KKB Who Are Militants Of 150 People

JAKARTA - The National Police has mapped members of the armed criminal group (KKB) in Papua. The number reached 150 people.

"So approximately 150 members of the KKB are militants", said Head of Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Wednesday, May 19.

The hundreds of people were divided into groups with a leader. KKB in Papua always spreads acts of terror by targeting the TNI-Polri and civilians.

Not only militants, but KKB also has sympathizers. However, the number of National Police does not yet have definite data.

"However, our sympathizers cannot yet know how many", said Ramadhan.

On the other hand, Ramadan also touched on the torture to death of two TNI members by unknown persons. It is suspected that these perpetrators were linked to terror-spreading groups such as KKB and OPM.

"Several groups have been mapped by us both by the TNI and National Police and we are still pursuing the perpetrators", he said.
