BGN: Budget Of IDR 71 Trillion Can Cover 40 Million MBG Targets By The End Of 2025
JAKARTA - The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) said that a budget of IDR 71 trillion could cover at least 40 million targets of the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) by the end of 2025.
Deputy Head of BGN Nanik S. Deyang conveyed that the target of 82.9 million MBG beneficiaries according to President Prabowo Subianto's direction is predicted to be achieved in March 2026.
"So the target that we have to complete this year is actually IDR 71 trillion, so for the 82.9 million targets, the value will be with an additional budget of IDR 351 trillion, meaning that we are indeed in 2026, God willing, in March," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 21.
Nanik said that currently many potential partners have queued to participate in the success of the MBG Program. However, BGN is now tightening the verification process to avoid kitchen governance that does not comply with standard operating procedures (SOP).
"Actually, there are already a lot of queues to make this kitchen, around 120 thousand, even though we only need 30 thousand, so there we will choose, maybe all of them pile up on the island of Java. Then the ones that have been processed for a long time are verified, don't let the kitchens carelessly, yesterday I didn't see a kitchen that didn't meet the requirements," he explained.
Nanik added that until Friday (17/10), MBG's budget absorption based on data from the Directorate General of Budget, Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) had reached almost Rp27 trillion.
"The game is almost Rp27 trillion, that's Friday, you know, because now the addition is very fast every day. As of today, I haven't checked, maybe I just know on Saturday, but God willing, by the end of the year we have Rp60 trillion, maybe even Rp71 trillion we can achieve it," he said.
