Want To Underdo The Toll Road Is Organized, Pramono: Building Not Only In Sudirman

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung wants the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government to arrange public spaces under the Jakarta toll road. According to him, this area can be used as a park or creative space for fine arts.

Thus, Pramono emphasized that the DKI Provincial Government does not only focus on organizing and maintaining public facilities on protocol channels such as Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and elite areas in central Jakarta.

"Right now, the concentration of building is not only in Central Jakarta or in Sudirman. Now areas, under toll roads, then below, I have asked for repairs, including making graffiti, murals, existing parks," said Pramono at the East Jakarta Mayor's Office, Tuesday, October 21. ,

In addition, the DKI Provincial Government will also add green open space (RTH) to government-owned land that can still be utilized, amidst the limited land in Jakarta.

"Maybe in the near future I will be a lot to inaugurate parks as new RPTRAs which are not extensive, but very useful to the community," he said.

On that occasion, Pramono also admitted that he would take advantage of the assets of the monorail pole stalled on Jalan HR Rasuna Said, South Jakarta. The first step, the monorail pole will be dismantled in January 2026.

"Hopefully in January we can start and will, and in 2026 it can be completed, and make Jakarta, especially in the region, in the Rasuna Said area better," said Pramono.

Since several years ago, the pole of the Jakarta monorail project that has stalled along the HR Rasuna Said road and Jalan Asia Afrika has begun to be considered disturbing.

Initially, the construction of this monorail project in Jakarta began in 2004. At that time, the Governor of DKI was still held by Sutiyoso. Stalled for years, until 2014, former DKI Jakarta Governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama canceled his contract with PT Jakarta Monorail. This resulted in the fate of the poles that had been built becoming increasingly unclear.

Later, the pole assets belonged to PT Adhi Karya as the executor of the construction. Pramono admitted that he had spoken with Adhi Karya regarding the plan to demolish the monorail pole.

"For monorel, of course we have spoken with Adhi Karya, but what will be the outcome of the conversation, please ask Adhi Karya. However, we have planned, yesterday at the DKI Jakarta plenary meeting, I have given a deadline," he added.
