Peakedelic Exploration Overflows On Impala's DeadbeatAME Album

JAKARTA - The fifth album from Tame Impala (Kevin Parker) was officially released with the title Deadbeat, via Columbia Records on October 17. Previously he started this album with three singles, namely Loser, End of Summer, and Dracula who entered the Billboard's Hot 100 and made his straight debut on the AaA and Alternative charts.

Tame Impala also shared a music video for the opening song for the album My Old Ways as the latest gacoan song. This MV is directed by Kristofski, which features a recording of a vorrit\'ite cin\'ema taken by the director during the Parker process of making albums in various locations around the world.

Parker created a very strong collection of psychedelic club explorations on Deadbeat as a platform for writing the freshest and most inspiring songs he has ever made. The album was inspired in depth by a bush doof culture in Australia, particularly local scenes around Margaret River, Western Australia, in the 90s.

The album has been in various locations over the past few years, and most of the process took place between Parker's hometown, Fremantle, and his studio, Wave House in Injidup, Western Australia, in the first half of 2025. Deadbeat sounds like the work of an artist who has mastered his skills at a higher level, created by embracing the spontaneity newly discovered for a famous perfectionist.

This is reflected in a distinctive minimalism and rough texture, with timbre and textures adding new dimensions that are not pleasing to sound, as well as a richer and more playful range of vocals than ever before.

Tame Impala will start her first tour to support the album Deadbeat on October 27, with the first concert of four concerts at Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY. The tour will end on November 17 with the last concert of three concerts at The Kia Forum, Los Angeles. Tame Impala also announced a big tour in the UK and the European Union which will begin in the spring of 2026.
