Police Examine 19 Witnesses In Udayana Timothy Student Death Case
West Denpasar Police examined as many as 19 witnesses related to the death of a student at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Udayana University Timothy Anugerah Saputra.
West Denpasar Police Chief Kompol Laksmi Trisnadewi Wieryawan said the witnesses examined included lecturers, victim's classmates, friends of the victim to Udayana University security guard Sudirman Denpasar.
According to Laksmi's statement, the average witnesses examined revealed the personality of the BAG who had good intellectual abilities, so it was unlikely that he would take careless actions to end his life tragically.
"Of the 19 witnesses we questioned, on average they said that the victim was a smart person, speaking very weighted," he said, Monday, October 20.
In addition, BAT in the view of his friends is seen as a respected figure so that it is also unlikely that other people will bully.
"So the colleagues are reluctant, even reluctant. Then if they become victims of the dismantling from their friends, they feel that it is very unlikely what happens. Because the victim is a principled person, not the types that will be easily bullied like that," said Laksmi.
After processing the crime scene (TKP) the police stated that the victim fell from the fourth floor.
This was confirmed by the existence of information from three eyewitnesses to CCTV footage.
The eyewitnesses saw the victim sitting in a chair, before finally leaving his shoes and bags on the bench occupied by the victim.
The police said that CCTV on the fourth floor of the FISIP building, Udayana University, Sudirman Campus, had been damaged since 2023 so that it did not record the incident of the victim before falling on the campus yard.
However, Udayana University denied that CCTV on the fourth floor was still functioning properly.
It's just that the victim's condition at that time was in a blind spot.
"Our CCTV is functioning well. The deceased was caught on CCTV cameras walking in the hallway, it was there. However, after that, CCTV did not catch him again. This has also been checked with the police," said Head of the Udayana University Public Communication Unit Chairperson Ni Nyoman Dewi Pascarani.
Previously, a Udayana University student Timothy Anugerah Saputra was found dead after falling from the fourth floor of the Udayana University FISIP campus building at the Sudirman Denpasar Campus, on Wednesday (15/10) morning.
