Israel Violates Gaza's Ceasefire, Kills 97 Palestinians
JAKARTA - 97 Palestinians were killed and 230 others injured as a result of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip despite a ceasefire taking effect on October 10. Gaza's government recorded 21 ceasefire violations on Sunday.
In a statement, the Gaza Government's Media office said Israeli forces had committed 80 documented offenses since the declaration of a ceasefire, which was considered a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
The violations included direct shootings of civilians, mass attacks, intentional targeting, the formation of a shooting belt', and the arrest of civilians.
The Gaza government accuses the Israeli military of using armored vehicles, tanks on the edge of settlements, electronic cranes with long-range targeting systems, as well as deep quadcop drones and drones to launch attacks.
This violation occurred throughout the Gaza region without exception. This fact confirms the occupation does not comply with the ceasefire and continues to carry out policies of killing and terror against our people, "said a statement by the Gaza government as reported by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, October 20.
The Gaza government is demanding full responsibility of the Israeli army and urging the United Nations and treaty guarantees to immediately step in to stop violence.
