Not Satisfied With The Adaptation Of The National Team In Dubai, Shin Tae-yong: Some Players Are Moving Too Late

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong has not been satisfied with the adaptation of his foster children while in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in order to prepare for the 2022 World Cup Qualification.

As quoted by Antara from the PSSI official website in Jakarta, Wednesday, the assessment was conveyed by Shin after seeing the performance of his foster children in training at the JA Center of Excellence and Shooting Club field, Dubai, Tuesday afternoon local time.

"We will still see developments until the weekend. However, I feel that the players are trying to adapt more quickly, especially to the temperature here," said Shin, quoted from the official website of PSSI in Jakarta, Wednesday.

The South Korean tactician also asked Evan Dimas and his friends to work hard to improve performance.

Shin didn't want the situation during practice, where the players were sometimes still late in moving, to occur during the match.

"I still see some players moving late. That should not happen in the match. I emphasize the players to be more serious and focused," said the South Korean national team coach at the 2018 World Cup.

Meanwhile PSSI Chairman Mochamad Iriawan hopes that the Indonesian national team squad will be able to conquer various obstacles while training in Dubai.

Iriawan also emphasized that his party always supports Shin Tae-yong's programs for the national team.

"I believe there are still many training programs from the coach to improve the players' abilities. We hope the players can quickly adapt well in Dubai and their condition is always fit and solid," said the man who is usually called Iwan Bule.

A total of 28 Indonesian national team players will undergo the last three matches of Group G of the 2022 World Cup Qualification, all of which will take place centrally in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 3-7 June 2021.

In Group G, the Garuda squad will play Thailand on June 3, 2021, then Vietnam on June 7, 2021 and the United Arab Emirates on June 11, 2021.

Prior to that, the brand will face two trial matches in the UAE, namely facing Afghanistan on May 25 and Oman on May 29, 2021.

The Indonesian national team has been in Dubai since May 17, 2021.
