Pramono Firmly Bans Charges Of Motret At Tebet Eco Park

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung emphasized the ban on levies for taking pictures using a professional camera at Tebet Eco Park, Tebet, South Jakarta.

This is in response to the photography community asking for a levy of up to IDR 500 thousand from residents who want to take pictures in the public space.

"There are no levies. Wong is a public park," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, October 20.

Therefore, Pramono will order the DKI Jakarta City Parks and Forests Service (Distamhut) to regulate and supervise the existence of levies in the green open space (RTH) belonging to the DKI Provincial Government.

"It's a free Eco Park. So there's no (excess). We'll arrange it later, yes," said Pramono.

Distamhut DKI previously responded to a lot of complaints on social media about photographers being asked to pay Rp. 500 thousand to do a photo shoot at the park.

Head of DKI Distamhut City Park, Dimas Ario Nugroho, said that his party had traced the news and confirmed that the levy did not come from the park manager, but from a community on behalf of itself as a photography manager at Tebet Eco Park.

"The agency does not prohibit photography activities in the park area, both from the community and individuals. From the service and friends in the field do not issue special permits. And a summons and clarification has been made to the community before it was crowded in the media," said Dimas when confirmed.

Dimas explained that the community in question was called the Tebet Eco Park Photographary Community. They are not affiliated with official garden offices or managers.

"Yes, they make their own operations such as vests, ID cards, etc. Community initiatives," he said.

According to Dimas, the activities carried out by the community were purely a personal initiative without official permission. Therefore, Distamhut DKI has given a direct warning after making a clarification.

"Yes, we have made calls, clarifications, and warnings to the community," he said.
