2 Airport Security Workers Killed By Cargo Ship Slipping In Hong Kong
JAKARTA - A Boeing 747 cargo plane skidded into a security patrol car at Hong Kong International Airport.
The plane dragged a car into the sea killing two airport workers on Monday, October 20, at 03.50 in the morning local time.
The executive director of the airport authority for the Hong Kong International Airport operations, Steven Yiu, said ahead of landing the plane captain did not contact the control tower to ask for help and then slide about half the runway before slipping to the left.
"The patrol car was not in a hurry at all to get on the runway. It was the plane that was off the runway and crashed into a patrol car outside the fence," he said at a press conference, Monday, October 20, quoted from AFP.
