Second Album After 12 Years, Fatin Shidqia Returns With Our Story

JAKARTA - Twelve years have passed since Fatin Shidqia released her first album on the music scene. This distinctive singer finally presented her full album again.

Is an album titled Cerita Kita, which marks Fatin's new phase in his musical journey in a more mature, honest, and personal work. Fatin revealed the reasons for the release of this second album came from the support of his connoisseurs.

"I feel nervous when I finally released the second album in 2025, but there is also gratitude and joy because I am still surrounded by fans who always ask about my latest work. This means a lot to me and is a great motivation to continue working," said Fatin Shidqia in a written broadcast received by VOI, October 20.

Fatin was fully involved in the work on this album. Although the process took a long time, in this period, he felt that he was growing as a musician.

If on the first album, the singer who was born on July 30, 1996, just had to do the recording, this time she started learning to write lyrics, look for melodies, and get directly involved in her creative process.

"A total of 12 songs on this album. There are several new songs, but there are also old songs that I enter to serve as a reminder that this album is my first work in learning to create songs assisted by other musicians," explained Fatin.

The song titled Red Flag was chosen as a focus single for Kita Story. The theme itself is felt familiar and experienced by many people.

After a long time, I finally ventured to write my own song which is entirely English. For the melody, I was assisted by Kak Kamga and Kak Kevin. The theme is about a complicated love story and, for sure, relate to some people who have or are experiencing it, namely about someone who knows that his lover is red flag, but can't let go of himself, "explained the pink lover.

Bringing a song whose message can be received by listeners, for this communication scholars, is important because Story Kita is not just a collection of songs, but a reflection of the various life phases that he has lived and also made promises that, in the end, were kept.
