Corruption Cases Revealed In The Prabowo Gibran Era Most Highlighted By The Government
YOGYAKARTA Corruption cases are still a job that must be resolved in the era of Prabowo's leadership. During Prabowo Gibran's leadership, which today, Monday, October 20, even one year, corruption cases have become an event that has drawn a lot of attention. In this one year, many corruption cases were revealed in the Prabowo Gibran era, both involving officials in the previous government era and in the current government era. Reporting from Antara, NEXT Indonesia Research & Publications stated that during the one year period of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, the money that was successfully returned to the state was worth Rp. 1.7 trillion. This figure was obtained from the convicts of corruption cases that were successfully uncovered.
"The value comes from the loot of corruption, auctions of looted goods and re-control of forest areas," reported the research report 'Changing Indonesia: 1 Year of the Prabowo-Gibran Government' released by NEXT Indonesia, quoted Monday, October 20.
NEXT Indonesia also claims that in the first year, Prabowo Gibran's government has strengthened the enforcement of corruption laws. There were around 43 corruption cases handled by the Indonesian Attorney General's Office and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Apart from information statements released by NEXT Indonesia, here are some corruption cases that were successfully resolved during the Prabowo and Gibran administrations.
The mega corruption case that was successfully resolved in the Prabowo Gibran era was an allegation of corruption in crude oil management and refinery products that occurred within PT Pertamina. This case is in the public spotlight because the state has to bear losses of up to Rp285 trillion.
The investigation into Pertamina's crude oil management case has actually occurred since 2018. However, until 2023 the case had escaped the public's attention.
The Attorney General's Office has only named several suspects in 2025 after Prabowo served as President. The AGO then named several suspects, one of whom was businessman Mohammad Riza Chalid who was named in July 2025. Riza Chalid is also considered a figure of the oil and gas mafia.
Another corruption case that has drawn no less attention is the case of extortion in the management of work safety and health certificates (K3) that occurred within the Ministry of Manpower.
The spotlight on the case is quite high because the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appointed Immanuel Ebenezer, who at that time served as Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker). The man who is familiarly called Noel was exposed to the KPK's hand arrest operation (OTT) on Wednesday, October 20. In the KPK findings, there was a flow of funds of Rp. 3 billion on December 24, 2024.
Apart from Riza Chalid and Immanuel Ebenezer, another corruption case that was revealed in the Prabowo Gibran era was a corruption case in the procurement of Chromebook laptops that occurred within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendudbudristek). The case was investigated from 2019-2022.

In 2025, the Attorney General's Office had named several suspects, one of which was Nadiem Makarim, who in the Jokowi era government served as Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. Based on the investigation, the case caused the state to suffer losses of up to Rp1.98 trillion.
