Ministry Of Health Holds Free Smart Hospital Feasibility Study, Hospitals Can Save Hundreds Of Millions

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) in collaboration with the National Standardization Agency (BSN) plans to hold free training for the preparation of master plans and a Smart Hospital feasibility study for all hospitals (RS) in Indonesia.

President of the Indonesian Health Service Engineering Association (PTPI), Prof. Dr. Eko Supriyanto, PH.Eng said, the Ministry of Health will invite hospital leaders and related units "from human resources, finances, to asset management" to take part in this training.

"With this training, hospitals can compile for themselves a feasibility study and a Smart Hospital master plan. Professional consultants are only needed for verification of digital system results. This method can save up to hundreds of millions of rupiah," said Eko in a statement, Sunday, October 19.

Eko said the activity was a cross-ministerial collaboration including the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.

Meanwhile, PTPI, he continued, was appointed as the main organizer along with various professional associations and universities.

Eko said this training would take place at the SMESCO Indonesia Building, Jakarta, on October 23-25, 2025.

On the first day, participants will learn to prepare a feasibility study and Smart Hospital master plan, including corporate management and human resources.

Furthermore, on the second day, it will be focused on planning facilities, infrastructure, and medical devices based on the draft final of the Smart Hospital Standard and the revision of Permenkes Number 40 of 2022. On the third day, participants will be trained to calculate the feasibility of the Smart Hospital business and prepare a budgeting plan and financial management.

In closing, participants will be introduced to an automated digital system capable of producing a feasibility study report and Smart Hospital master plan based on hospital needs data and actual conditions.
