JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a coordination meeting with five KPK leaders on Monday, April 27. As a result, they noted that the field of prosecution is one area that contributes to problems within the institution.
Chairman of the KPK Supervisory Board, Tumpak Panggabean, said there were 18 problems recorded in various deputies in the anti-graft agency. Although he did not elaborate further, most of the problems came from the field of enforcement.
"The majority of issues discussed were related to the Deputy for Action, among others, from the complaints submitted to the Supervisory Board," said Tumpak in a written statement, Tuesday, April 28.
Furthermore, the KPK Supervisory Board asked the leadership to fix 18 problems in various fields including, in the field of prosecution.
Tumpak added, his party also carried out an evaluation of the KPK Performance Accountability Report (LAK) in 2019.
There are several points discussed in the evaluation such as stakeholder perspective, internal process, internal process, growth and learning, and financial perspective.
"In addition to evaluating the LAK KPK, other performance evaluations are also carried out. The conclusion is that improvements will be made to these various perspectives," he explained.
This coordination meeting, said Tumpak, is a mandate from Article 37B letter a of the KPK Law which states that the Supervisory Board is tasked with overseeing the implementation of KPK duties and powers and evaluating the performance of KPK leaders and employees.
So that in the future, monitoring and evaluation of the performance of the leaders and employees of the institution will be carried out in stages.
