Toyota with Chinese partner GAC officially launched the right-hand drive (RHD) version of the Toyota bZ3X electric car in Hong Kong. This launch marks the first global debut of the Toyota-GAC collaboration electric SUV for the RHD market.
Quoted from CarNewsChina, Sunday, October 19, Toyota bZ3X is priced at 229,600 Hong Kong dollars or around Rp490 million. At this price, bZ3X is Hong Kong's cheapest Toyota model, shifting the position of Sienta Luxury.
The electric SUV was jointly developed by GAC Toyota and Toyota Motor Corporation, as well as produced at the GAC Toyota Nansha factory, Guangzhou. The model has previously been sold in China since March 2025.
"The presence of bZ3X fills the void in Toyota's ranks in Hong Kong and is a response to local market demand," said GAC Executive Vice President Toyota, Wen Dali.
This RHD version was developed specifically for urban driving needs, with adjustments to steering systems and friendly features for narrow roads and limited parking lots.
In performance, bZ3X is powered by a 150 kW permanent magnetic synchronous electric motor, paired with an LFP battery with a capacity of 70 kWh. This car has a range of up to 565 kilometers based on NEDC standards.
In terms of dimensions, bZ3X has a length of 4,600 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,660 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,765 mm. The charging system supports 6.6 kW AC power and 90 kW DC, and is equipped with Vehicle to Load (V2L) features that allow cars to distribute electricity to external devices.
Entering the interior, bZ3X carries a futuristic design with a digital instrument cluster measuring 8.88 inches and a 14.6 inches central touchscreen. Its infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, English voice control, and 11 speakers Yamaha audio. The front seat can be arranged electrically and has heating and ventilation features.
