Galian Project At TB Simatupang Completed, Back Road Normal
JAKARTA - The construction of a waste water network on Jalan TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, has finally been completed. Perumda Paljaya completed the tunneling work on the domestic waste water treatment system centered at the MH-7 point, in front of Pertamina gas stations, faster than the original target of October 25, 2025.
With the completion of the work at the MH-7 point, all projects on the road lane in the South side of TB Simatupang area are now complete. Previously, Paljaya had completed the MH-4 point in front of Cibis Park on October 7, 2025. Since October 18, the project fence at the location has been opened and vehicles can again pass normally.
"The acceleration of the opening of this road body is a form of our commitment to prioritize the public interest. We are grateful for the patience and support of the community during the work process," said the President Director of Perumda Paljaya, Untung Suryadi in his statement, Sunday, October 19.
Fortunately, Paljaya said that this acceleration was carried out so that the impact of construction on traffic flow in densely populated areas could be reduced as small as possible. During the excavation process, the flow of vehicles on the Simatupang TB section had stalled due to narrowing of the lane.
In the future, Paljaya will continue to develop domestic waste water infrastructure until June 2026. The project includes a centralized domestic waste water management system (SPALD-T) by building pipelines and waste treatment installations.
The construction of the SPALD-T is intended to improve safe sanitation in Jakarta and improve the quality of the environment and public health.
"Paljaya also continues to strengthen coordination with relevant agencies in order to maintain smooth traffic and public safety," he said.

Some time ago, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he realized that many residents had complained about the excavation projects that included part of the section on Jalan TB Simatupang.
Among them are the pipeline for drinking water Perumda PAM Jaya, the work of the Jakarta Sewerage Development Project (JSDP) or the construction of a wastewater treatment plant carried out by Perumda Paljaya, and the integrated utility network (SJUT) excavation work by the Highways Office.
Therefore, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) starting Monday, September 15 opened a lane from Fatmawati Toll Gate for free for four-wheeled vehicles to relieve congestion on TB Simatupang Street.
The opening of the toll gate with a special lane on the far left and exiting the Lebak Bulus ramp will last until the end of October 2025. Every day, one lane from Fatmawati Toll Gate is only opened in the afternoon and evening, which is 17.00 to 20.00 WIB.
"With the arrangements we make, hopefully these five days will be able to provide satisfactory results, significantly reduce mabilities," said Pramono.
