Camera Problem, Ford Recall 290 Thousand Vehicles In US

JAKARTA - Ford again had to pull back or recall its car in the United States, after the Ford Mustang was now the turn of its F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and certain F-450 SD 2020-2022.

Quoting from the APnews page, Sunday, October 19, Ford's total recall of more than 290,000 vehicles in the US due to the 360 camera system that did not properly display bland under certain lighting conditions.

This of course increases the risk of accidents for users, referring to the report of The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

More details, there are substantial differences in the lighting conditions in various cameras, which can cause the disparity of the lighting in the composite display. This causes the automatic lighting compensation system to be problematic and displays images that are very illumination-less or too bright.

The report revealed that Ford reviewed customer complaint data and guarantee information to understand customer events. The automaker said that on September 20, they were aware of 10 reports, with the first report taking place on January 20, 2022.

However, Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to the above problems.

Responding to this (recall) a temporary notification letter will be sent to consumers starting October, and additional letters will be sent once the final fix is available, which is anticipated for March 2026.
