Yuki Kato's Totality In Playing Maya Characters In Still Single Makes Scoliosis Relapse
JAKARTA - Yuki Kato's totality in playing the character Maya in her latest series, Still Single, turned out to have an unexpected impact on her physical condition.
The actress of the Indonesian-Japanese blasteran revealed that the stoliotic disease she had been suffering from for a long time recurred, even getting worse, due to the intense deepening of roles.
"Then second, Mas, so Maya is really so sore. My Skoliosis was scolded by my instructor, added, bro. I swear," said Yuki Kato in the Central Jakarta area, recently.
Apparently, the Maya character he plays has a posture that tends to bend and carelessly. This habit was unconsciously carried away during the shooting process which lasted approximately three months.
"At that time we had a break. Then I was like this on a break, 'Wow, how come my body is so tight, sir?' Then I was like, 'Ah, pilates ah! Pilates, please,' Yuki Kato's story.
Namun, sesi pilates yang yang dijalaninya justru membawa kabar buruk dari sang instructor. Tiba-tiba pelatis saya ini, ujuh, kamu habipain, Ki?Hah?Haihabis syuting. Oh my goodness, aku cara jalan, apa begitu-tulah, error lagi saya, bebernya.
This condition had made him think about stopping for a moment from pilates. "Yes, then I was like, 'Hah, how come? We don't have pilates first, dear package.' That's it," continued Yuki Kato.
Even though she had to endure pain due to her relapsed spoliosis, Yuki Kato admitted that she was very totality in playing Maya. He even said that the process of deepening this character felt very special.
"This Still Single series is for the deepening of the character is very special and feels like taking care because I already have a child, so it feels like taking care of a cat cub. It's like being really cared for by this character to be played," said Yuki Kato.
His totality is also supported by the director and co-stars. He discussed a lot with director Omar Helmi to dissect Maya's character more deeply.
"And that means our director, Mas Omar Helmi, is also very open to discussion, to dissect Maya herself so that I know Maya better. Then after that, we also have moments between Maya and Yuda, or Maya and Dasha, the three of us, and after that, between me and you and me, "continued Yuki.
A long preparation time is also one of the factors that helps him build chemistry with other players.

"So it's because of the long time, preparations for Maya to meet other characters so that they know each other more," he added.
To help her get into Maya's character, Yuki even had a special ritual before filming, namely by listening to the playlist of songs and using a special perfume for Maya.
"But to help me every time I want to shoot, I want to go to the set, there is a playlist of songs and I have perfume for Maya actually. So it smells good, it also affects me to Maya who is in the early phase, like that," he concluded.
