Ministry Of Industry: There Are 8 Additional Industrial Estates During The One Year Prabowo-Gibran Government

The Ministry of Industry noted that there were eight additional industrial areas (KI) in 173 KI during the one year administration of President Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Quoted from the official Instagram account @kemenperin_ri, Saturday, October 18, the addition of eight industrial areas also raised investment value in the country.

"In a year, there were eight additional industrial areas in 173 industrial areas with an investment value of Rp. 6,744.58 trillion, the total workforce reached 2.35 million workers," explained the Ministry of Industry.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry also said that currently there are 516,124 total business units with 13,762 small and medium industrial centers (IKM) in Indonesia. "It contributes 9.3 percent to GDP," he explained.

This figure is also believed to be an opportunity to continue to empower industrialization through the creation of supply chains between large industries and SMEs.

According to the Ministry of Industry, collaboration between governments, industry players and the community can realize the management of an integrated industrial area that is environmentally friendly and globally competitive.

"Industrialization is not just an industrial start-up, but a national equity strategy," he concluded.
