Tens Of Thousands Of Visitors Are Estimated To Attend The 2025 Santri Land Festival
JAKARTA - Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to attend the 2025 Santri Land Festival which will be held in Pondok Aren Square in Bintaro Area, South Tangerang on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
The chairman of the South Tangerang Islamic Boarding School (FSPP) Gathering Forum who is also the Chair of the Committee for the Land Festival, Aditia Warman, said that this activity was part of a series of events to commemorate National Santri Day which will be celebrated on October 22, 2025.
"With the current dynamics, when there is a lot of negative perception from the public about Islamic boarding schools, the commemoration of National Santri Day is something to look forward to. So, we will present a new breakthrough, and tens of thousands of people present are proof that this event is not only accepted but awaited," Aditia said in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.
The head of the Al Amanah Al Gontory Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) said that the 2025 Santri Land Festival would be filled with various activities, all of which were filled and attended by students.
"We want to show the public about the role of pesantren to the public, and how sacred Islamic boarding schools are," said Aditia Warman.

He also invited the entire community not only to attend Santri Land as spectators, but also to actively support the existence of pesantren by signing a petition.
"There will be a signing of a joint petition to support the existence of pesantren. We want the general public to also be involved in building positive narratives about pesantren," he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Darunnajah 9 Islamic Boarding School, Angga Kautsar Ibrahim, said that the 2025 Santri Land Festival activities were an effort by the students and their kiai to change the bad perception of some people towards pesantren.
He realized that public unrest regarding pesantren occurred due to public misperception, so it needed to be straightened out with syiar.
"We hope that the Santri Land Festival is not just a festival or carnival agenda, but an activity that must be loaded with da'wah and syiar in accordance with the narrative of Islamic education which is always taught in Islamic boarding schools," he said.
