The Governor Of West Kalimantan's Testimony In The Corruption Case Of The Mempawah Regency Road Project Continues To Be Investigated By The KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) continues to explore the testimony of West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan regarding allegations of corruption in road improvement work at the Mempawah District Public Works (PU) Office.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said the investigation was carried out after a request for information was made by investigators at the West Kalimantan Police office on Saturday, October 4. When this incident rolled out, Ria Norsan served as the Regent of Mempawah.

"Currently, investigators are still investigating and studying the results of the examination of the witnesses who have been summoned and examined. Where in this case in a marathon, investigators examined a number of witnesses, including RN, who is the regent of Mempawah, in the middle of the case," Budi told reporters, Friday, October 17.

In addition, investigators are still investigating the evidence in this case after searching a number of locations. Among them are Ria Norsan's house and the official residence of the Mempawah Regent.

The position of the Regent of Mempawah is currently occupied by Ria Norsan's wife, Erlina.

However, Budi is still closing the meeting regarding the findings obtained by investigators from Ria Norsan's house. "It's still being investigated. Including the items found during the search," he said.

"Because there are several locations that investigators have also searched and also examined witnesses from parties within the Mempawah district government and also private parties," continued Budi.

In addition, the KPK also coordinates with experts in this case. This is because they use Article 2 and Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law because it is suspected that there has been a state loss.

Then, a number of officials from the Ministry of Finance to the DPR's Budget Agency (Banggar) were also summoned in this case. The reason, said Budi, is because the road infrastructure project in Mempawah Regency is sourced from an additional Special Allocation Fund (DAK) from the central government.

"So if we look at the examination carried out in the investigation of this case, it is not only for parties in the Mempawah Regency and the private sector," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the improvement of Jalan Sekabuk-Sei Semeram and the work of improving Jalan Sekit Rama-Sei Semeram at the Mempawah District Public Works Office for the 2015 Fiscal Year. The investigation warrant (sprindik) has been issued some time ago.

There are three suspects who have been named but have not been officially submitted. Based on the information obtained, they are Abdurahman as a civil servant; Lutfi Kaharuddin who is an entrepreneur or President Director of PT Aditama Borneo Prima; and Idy Safriadi as a civil servant of Mempawah Regency.

To find evidence, investigators have also searched a number of locations. Among them are the house of West Kalimantan Governor Ria Norsan to the official residence of Mempawah Regent Erlina.

However, the KPK has not detailed the results. Investigators are only said to be conducting analysis and confirming their findings to related parties.
