Announce Economic Stimulus Quarter IV 2025, Airlangga Reveals BLT Extended And Internship Quota Plus

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto announced the expansion of the economic stimulus program which will take effect in the fourth quarter of 2025.

On this occasion, Airlangga admitted that he had a direct mandate from President Prabowo Subianto to convey this announcement to the public.

"I was asked by the President (Prabowo) to announce the economic package," said Airlangga in his announcement, Friday, October 17.

Airlangga also conveyed that as a symbol, he would distribute direct cash assistance (BLT) to 50 beneficiary families.

He conveyed the first stimulus, namely the addition of the number of BLT recipients, where the government will distribute BLT to 35 million families, including the addition of around 17 million new recipients.

"First, related to direct cash assistance, the President asked to add this direct cash assistance which will be provided in October, November, and December 2025, and will be received by 35,046,783 beneficiary families," said Airlangga.

In addition, he added that the government has also added an internship program for university graduates.

Airlangga conveyed that this program aims to provide work experience to new graduates in various sectors, including the business world, industry, SOEs, government institutions, to Bank Indonesia.

According to him, as many as 100,000 participants will participate in this program.

"The first batch of Internship participants is 20,000 people, and this has been opened and started working on October 20. Then next month it will reopen, and it will be increased to 80,000 Internship participants," he said.

Selain itu, Airlangga menyampaikan peserta juga akan mendapatkan perlindungan melalui iuran Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja (JKK) dan Jaminan Kematian (JKM), tanpa ada potongan dari uang saku yang diberikan pemerintah.

"Seluruh peserta Magang diberikan uang saku per bulan yang besarannya sama dengan uang saku daerah, kabupaten, dan kota. Dan di samping itu juga mendapat iuran untuk jaminan kehilangan kerja dan JKM. Dan itu tidak memotong uang saku yang diberikan oleh pemerintah," jelasnya.

In addition, Airlangga said that participants would also receive protection through work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Security (JKM) contributions, without any deduction from the pocket money given by the government.

"All Internship participants are given a monthly allowance of the same size as regional, district and city pocket money. And in addition, they also receive contributions to guarantee loss of work and JKM. And that does not cut the pocket money given by the government," he explained.
