Prabowo Asks Purbaya To Perfect Export Foreign Exchange Policy
JAKARTA President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto asked Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadive to review government regulations (PP) related to export foreign exchange (DHE) and discuss the tax revenue optimization strategy in 2025.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said, in a limited meeting at Kertanegara Residence, Jakarta, Thursday, October 16, the President emphasized the importance of evaluating the DHE policy so that its implementation is more effective and supports national economic stability.
"Mr. President wants us to continue to review regulations relating to state financial problems, including export foreign exchange rules," said Prasetyo in his statement.
According to him, the President asked the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa to perfect the PP on DHE natural resources (SDA) so that the policy not only strengthens foreign exchange reserves, but also provides direct benefits for the domestic economy.
This limited meeting is a follow-up to previous evaluations, in which the President has invited a number of ministers to discuss the effectiveness of implementing PP Number 8 of 2025 which was issued in February. The regulation requires all SDA exporters to place foreign exchange of export products in domestic banks starting March 1, 2025.
In addition to discussing DHE, President Prabowo also highlighted the need to increase tax revenue under the leadership of the Minister of Finance Purbaya. He hopes that the administrative reforms and fiscal policies that are implemented can strengthen the basis of state revenues.

Based on information from the Cabinet Secretariat, a number of officials attended the meeting, including Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Head of the Government Communication Agency Angga Raka Prabowo, and Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.
