Citroen Basalt Wins Zero Star In NCAP Latin Test, How Come?
JAKARTA - Citroen through the Basalt model received zero star ratings in the Latin NCAP or New Car Assessment Program for Latin America and the Caribbean testing, an independent program that evaluates vehicle safety and ranks (usually 0-5 stars).
Quoting from the Rushlane page, Thursday, October 16, the model being tested directly is a direct production of Brazil, which has differences with India. Previously, the model assembled in India was ranked 4-star security in the Bharat NCAP collision test in 2024.
There are many differences presented in the Indian and Brazilian versions. The security system only gets the Brazilian version of the 4 airbags. In addition, other security systems offered with basic variants include electronic stability control, pedestrian protection, seat belt reminders, ISOFIX, belt prevalence, and belt load barriers. In India, Basalt is offered with 6 air bags as standard.
