Arsenal Players Return To Training Under Tight Limits
JAKARTA - Arsenal players returned to training at the club facilities on Monday, April 27 yesterday. However, remain under strict guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alexandre Lacazette and David Luiz were among the first team members seen going to London Colney headquarters in their own vehicles.
However, the gym and indoor training facilities at the site remain closed and Arsenal players are making sure to maintain social distancing. This is certainly in accordance with government guidelines in the UK during the ongoing lockdown.
The Premier League confirmed that all training sessions were carried out separately where they were divided into groups of five so that there were no crowds. Each player may only use the balls prepared for them.
This move was carried out amid speculation about a return to the top competition in the Premier League. Media reports said the clubs would return to full training on 18 May, with matches then resuming on 8 June.
The Premier League have made clear their intention to finish the suspended 2019-20 season. One meeting on April 17 discussed the possibility of scheduling methods.
Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta tested positive for the coronavirus shortly before the Premier League season was suspended on March 13, initially until April 3.
