Raidy Noor's Music Profile And Travel, Examining His Story In Front And Behind The Scene

Raidy Noor, a musician and music producer who has started to play music in Indonesian music since the late 1970s, has died at the age of 66.

Raidy breathed his last on Wednesday, October 15 at 21.50 WIB. The body was buried at his residence in South Tangerang and then buried at the Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta.

Not many young people today know Raidy Noor. However, the music heritage is still recorded and remembered. The Indonesian Music Award Foundation (YAMI) through the official Instagram account of the AMI Awards also remembers its legacy through an upload.

"Goodbye Raidy Noor," wrote the official Instagram account of the AMI Awards in the uploaded statement.

It is said that Raidy Noor is a legendary musician, producer and bassist who has given great colors to Indonesian music since the 1970s.

"With his expertise in musical arrangements and production, he plays a role behind many great works that are remembered across generations. More than just players, Raidy Noor is a guide and inspiration for many young musicians. His dedication makes him a symbol of professionalism and true love for Indonesian music," he continued.

Raidy, who was born on May 23, 1959, studied at SMA 3 Jakarta. There, he became acquainted with people who would later become big names in the Indonesian music industry, namely Fariz RM, Addie MS, Ikang Fawzi, Adjie Soetama, Deddy Dhukun, James F. Sundah, Cendi Luntung, and others.

He has also formed a band with Addie MS, Ikang Fawzi, and Cendi Luntung named Staff which carries a musical combination of R&B, soul, bent, and rock.

Staff had released a studio album. But the journey was not long. This band disbanded, with its personnel taking different musical paths.

Raidy once released a solo album with the title 'Sapa Semesta' in 1981. Some of his flagship songs, such as "Sapa Semesta", "Month of His Name", and "Kiasan Kata".

He is also known as the frontman of The Cockpit Band 'tribute music group that performs British rock band songs, Genesis.

As a bassist, Raidy is known as a player with character in his time. His abilities made him often involved in various cross-genre projects, both as a player and music organizer.

Not only on stage, but Raidy is also known as a behind-the-scenes figure. He works mostly in recording studios with his detailed and professional reputation.

Throughout his career, Raidy Noor has collaborated with a number of big Indonesian music names. He was involved in a project with Fariz RM, Erwin Gutawa, Indra Lesmana, Mus Mujiono, and young 2000s musicians who were looking for professional touch in their production.

Although he rarely appears on the big stage or on the small screen, Raidy Noor's name remains a legend among musicians and industry players. He is a quality and harmony guard who may not always be seen, but is always heard.
